Who we are

What we collect

Lope stores your data locally on your device using iOS's standard on-device storage (AsyncStorage). We do not maintain a server-side copy of your entries, settings, or any data you input. This includes your dog profiles, walk session records, GPS route data, bathroom break logs, and app settings — all stored locally on your device only.

The only data that leaves your device is:

Purchase records — when you subscribe or restore purchases, RevenueCat (our subscription management provider) receives a purchase token from Apple's StoreKit. RevenueCat uses this to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Location data — GPS coordinates are captured during active walk sessions solely to calculate route distance and display your walk path. Location data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

What we do with it

Locally-stored data stays on your device and is used solely to render the app's screens and persist your entries between sessions. Purchase data is used only to gate premium features behind your active subscription. Location data is used only to track and record your walk routes.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not show you ads.
We do not use analytics SDKs that profile individual users.
We do not transmit GPS or location data to our servers or any third party.

Your rights

Because Lope stores your data locally, you can delete all of it at any time by using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings, or by uninstalling the app. Deleting data via Settings permanently removes all dog profiles, walk sessions, and settings from your device.

For purchase data held by RevenueCat or Apple, refer to their respective privacy policies for deletion and access rights.

Children

Lope is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how data flows in Lope, we'll update this page and note the change in the app's release notes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
