Terms of Use

By installing or using Kitchen Ledger ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Kitchen Ledger is published by Andromeda Kinship.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Kitchen Ledger on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's Standard EULA.

2. Subscriptions and Pricing

Kitchen Ledger Pro is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions or a one-time Founding Member purchase, sold through Apple In-App Purchase:

• Monthly Pro: US $9.99 per month. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial; if not cancelled before the trial ends, it converts to a paid monthly subscription.
• Annual Pro: US $59.99 per year. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial; if not cancelled before the trial ends, it converts to a paid annual subscription.
• Founding Member (Lifetime): US $39.00 one-time purchase. Limited to the first 100 buyers. Grants lifetime Pro access with no renewal.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel any subscription in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Founding Member is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not auto-renew.

3. General Guidance, Not Professional Advice

Kitchen Ledger is a record-keeping and reference tool, not a substitute for professional advice.

• Compliance information. The app provides general guidance about state cottage food laws. Laws change frequently. Always verify current requirements with your state's Department of Agriculture (or local health authority) before relying on the information shown.
• Tax information. Tax features (estimated tax owed, Schedule C export, mileage deduction) are illustrative starting points for your records. Consult a qualified tax professional for filing decisions.
• Labels. Generated labels are templates. You are responsible for reviewing every label before use to verify accuracy of ingredients, allergens, weight, and disclaimer text.

4. Your Data

You own the data you enter into Kitchen Ledger. The app stores it locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or back up your data on our servers. If your device is lost, damaged, or reset without backup, the data may be unrecoverable. We recommend exporting important reports (Schedule C CSV) periodically.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer the app, use it to violate any law, attempt to bypass subscription restrictions, or distribute the app outside the App Store.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Andromeda Kinship is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to: financial losses from cap-tracking inaccuracies, regulatory penalties from compliance information errors, tax filing errors, or label compliance issues. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and noted in a future app release. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

8. Termination

You can stop using Kitchen Ledger anytime by deleting the app. If you've subscribed, cancel your subscription separately in App Store settings to stop billing.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state of the publisher's principal place of business.
